acts of kindness

As I wake to a day filled with abundant gifts, love and holiday cheer, I think about those who have so little and I often feel powerless to effect real change.

This story of a boy named Kevin and a reporter who noticed puts a bit of power back in our hands.

Each act of kindness matters.

warning: the story opens with a  brief description of a gruesome act of violence; skip the third paragraph (just before the first photo and the heading “lost and found”) if you are sensitive to such things.
